It’s official. I am the Queen of Lateness. I have been wanting to build a budget-friendly inspirational outfit for this 3.1 Phillip Lim look showcased during the Fall 2011 show. The cobalt blue and yummy cognac brown shades are definite fall/winter must-haves. I opted to skip the stark white pants (not that you can’t wear white during the winter), but if your heart so desires feel free to swap it for an option of your choice. Fun accessories from Jeffrey Campbell, MANGO, and ASOS completes the look.

Recently, I found myself in Zara perusing the racks for nothing in particular when she caught my eye. Who is “she”, you might ask? A plush cotton candy colored, knee-length faux fur car coat with 3/4 inch sleeves. If you are looking to make a statement this holiday season from the pavement to the venue, I urge you to invest in a warm colored faux fur coat. The look is expensive without being too stuffy and just think of the grand entrance you’d make. Shop my picks below including fashion favorites Topshop and Betsey Johnson.
Freya Faux Fur Coat, $138 Reiss Jillie Faux Fur Jacket, $312 Topshop Faux Fur Pom Pom Duffle, $130 Topshop Long Faux Fur Textured Coat, $178 Betsey Johnson All Over Faux Fur Jacket, $398
Updates: NY Post Black Friday Shopping Feature + Zara Shopping + MAC’s Matchmaster Foundation + YouTube + More
How was everyone’s holiday weekend? Oh my God, this week has been absolute craziness from start to finish. Where do I begin? If you’ve been a follower of this blog or have for once checked out my About tab, then you know that I am Reporter at the New York Post. Yes, when I’m not blogging about high heels or sequins I’m chasing down bad guys in the Bronx for a story. Over the Thanksgiving Holiday I had the opportunity to cover a Black Friday Shopping story, and me and my findings were shot in a special feature. Words can’t describe how excited I was for New Yorker’s to see how much I love fashion and putting looks together. It was truly a blast. This was a highlight in my career. I’m still super excited. If you want, you can check out the feature here.
I’m also looking to expand my YouTube channel, so if you want you can subscribe to it here. Also word around the blogging streets is that registration for NYFW opened today, so I have to get started on that to keep you all up on the Fall 2012 fashion forecast. On Saturday I hung out with my bestie for food and shopping. I went into Zara and copped a pair of black and pink color blocked heels for $19.99 and their new Chocolate Rollerball Perfume.
Being the ridiculous product junkie I am, we went on over to the MAC store in Times Square and I purchased the new Matchmaster Foundation in 9.0 (OMG, Ahhhhmaaazing! – review to come), Touch Lustre lipstick and Glitter and Ice Dazzleglass. I still need to go back for that Lovejoy blush and the Pro-long Wear Concealer.
This weekend was such a whirlwind that I totally forgot to say how much I appreciate you for reading this blog. Thank you so much! Please stay tuned.

I need you all to grasp the magnitude of this look right here. Joan Smalls in head to toe Tom Ford. No, let me say that again in case you didn’t catch it the first time. Joan Smalls attended the MOMA film benefit honoring Pedro Almodóvar wearing a lace dress, strappy heels, and clutch all by Tom Ford. By now you should know how much I gag over his designs, just check out Chanel Iman for Wonderland Magazine and Beyonce paying homage in his women’s collection debut. As if the life of a model was not already glamorous enough, you get to wear one of the most exclusive designers of our time.
What could easily be deemed just a simple little black dress is punctuated to the extreme with intricate detailing. You have your full lace composition, sheer sleeves, side peplum puckering, all neatly tied up into an elegant velvet black bow. When I wear a LBD, I want to garner this type of attention. Nothing about this look says boring or run of the mill. Ladies, this is how you want to look for a holiday party. Classic and sophisticated. Tom Ford is untouchable, but you can try to create this look with one of the selections below.
