Updates: NY Post Black Friday Shopping Feature + Zara Shopping + MAC’s Matchmaster Foundation + YouTube + More

How was everyone’s holiday weekend? Oh my God, this week has been absolute craziness from start to finish. Where do I begin? If you’ve been a follower of this blog or have for once checked out my About tab, then you know that I am Reporter at the New York Post. Yes, when I’m not blogging about high heels or sequins I’m chasing down bad guys in the Bronx for a story. Over the Thanksgiving Holiday I had the opportunity to cover a Black Friday Shopping story, and me and my findings were shot in a special feature. Words can’t describe how excited I was for New Yorker’s to see how much I love fashion and putting looks together. It was truly a blast. This was a highlight in my career. I’m still super excited. If you want, you can check out the feature here.

Yay for my Black Friday Shopping Feature in the New York Post!!!

I’m also looking to expand my YouTube channel, so if you want you can subscribe to it here. Also word around the blogging streets is that registration for NYFW opened today, so I have to get started on that to keep you all up on the Fall 2012 fashion forecast. On Saturday I hung out with my bestie for food and shopping. I went into Zara and copped a pair of black and pink color blocked heels for $19.99 and their new Chocolate Rollerball Perfume.

Being the ridiculous product junkie I am, we went on over to the MAC store in Times Square and I purchased the new Matchmaster Foundation in 9.0 (OMG, Ahhhhmaaazing! – review to come), Touch Lustre lipstick and Glitter and Ice Dazzleglass. I still need to go back for that Lovejoy blush and the Pro-long Wear Concealer

I closed out my weekend brunching with some of my favorite girls, RhapsoDani, The Style and Beauty Doctor, and Looking Fly On a Dime. As always, it was super fun and inspiring.

This weekend was such a whirlwind that I totally forgot to say how much I appreciate you for reading this blog. Thank you so much! Please stay tuned.

Shoe Lust: AZZEDINE ALAÏA Lazer Cut Platform Boots

Whew Chile! The shoe lust has reached epic levels with these ultra sexy cut-out boots from Tunisian born designer Azzedine Alaia. OMG… Speechless.

Look at that detail. These ash grey boots are trimmed with flat metal studs and rest on a 6 inch platform heel.

Gorg! Of course gorgeous shoes come at an extravagant price. If you want these babies in your collection they will set you back almost $1500. Happy Shopping!

Shoe Lust: Rick Owens Short Ruhlmann Wedges

I think every woman has a strong masculine side. It’s only by course of tradition and ideals that we suppress it. As natural-born leaders and fighters of all endeavors possessing a minimal amount of “toughness” is required to fight our daily battles.
Just think of how empowered you feel slipping into a huge men’s shirt and knowing you can still attract adoration from the opposite sex. I think these boots from Rick Owens express that.

Constructed in dark green and black leather, they almost remind me of mud or car oil. I’ve yet to see them on any celeb, but I can picture Janet Jackson or Ciara pulling them off. Though, for $1800.00 these babies will remain a dream.

Pump Break: Get Inspired by Miranda Kerr’s Isabel Marant Sneakers

Miranda Kerr’s hi-tops have got me itching for kicks! Seeing the model out and about with the little one in tow, rocking the infamous Isabel Marant Perkins Suede and Leather Wedge Sneakers has got me craving a rubber sole. The new mommy dons the sold-out sneakers with liquid leather leggings and a matching navy jacket. Love this look! She looks so relaxed, yet still stylish.
You might also remember these sneakers in black worn by Beyonce  in the “Love on Top” music video. If you’re lucky enough to find them the price tag on these babies runs about $600. Yeah, not in my budget. I found some cool alternatives for less. If you want to give your pumps a rest then take a gander at the styles below.

Shoe Lust: YSL Tribtoo Tan Suede and Patent-Leather Pump

I’ve got a crush on these shoes! In my head, we’ve been going steady for the last 4 months now. I’m not the type of girl to put myself in debt over some shoes, hence the title of this post. $800 isn’t in the budget so I’ll just lust for now. Jesus be a sample sale so we can make it official! *Sigh*

Get them here.
